About Us

Who are we?

We are sisters.
We love bags, jewelleries and all things pretty.
We love high quality items that last a long time.
We believe in quality over quantity.
We trust superior workmanship that was crafted decades ago are of better quality than some of those we see in the market today. As evidenced by their pristine condition despite being 20-30 years old (what?!)

Purpose

We are interested in the history of these brands and its ethos - embodying it into our principals and way of life.
We believe in reusing rather than creating more, let's love our Mother earth.
So, we created Como Vintage to share what we love - it's part hobby and part joy.

Mizuhiki (水引)

What is Mizuhiki?

Have you noticed the art decoration that comes on the "Thank You" card together with our products? They are Mizuhiki.
Mizuhiki is the traditional Japanese art of creating decorative knots using specially made cord.
They are made of rice paper, which is twined and strengthened with glue. Both the different colors and knots have different meaning.

Significance

The knots, or 結び (musubi), symbolize the connection between people and togetherness.
In Como Vintage, we particularly use ume musubi (梅結び) which signifies commitment and closeness to our customers.
